Yes, but I don't think Corsi's stuff on Obama stuck. It may play well with the choir, but no one else thinks it is at all credible. Kerry was hurt both by the smears, and his ineffective response to them. Obama seems to have avoided that trap.

But the Rovians have many more tricks. The old Goebbels trick of 'a lie repeated often enough smells like the truth'. I just saw a clip where Palin has repeated the bridge lie seven times on her recent stump trip, even though nearly every major news organization has pointed out that truth. She's also retelling the chef lie, where she claims she fired the governor's chef because she wanted to save the taxpayers money. Turns out the chef was simply given a different job title, and continued the cooking at the Republican legislative lounge.

Maybe if Nixon had repeated his "I am not a crook" line more often, someone would have believed him...
