I don't think Republicans ever think about what was lost in 2000 when Bush Jr. took away the government. There would have been a real space program, a real push for cleaner air and water, and social security would have been backed up with the trillion dollars that we instead gave to Iraqis and defense contractors. The country was on it's way to greatness, but there were those who didn't want the federal government to compete with their own schemes. All we got was those schemes. TP
