I hope you recognize the chess analogy here.

All of the talk is about Palin these days. The game is being driven right now by the McCain campaign, and Obama and the left are currently in response mode.

No doubt I think Obama is able to regain the initiative once the honeymoon with Palin fades. That is, if the mainstream media that is pulling for Obama can regain control of themselves and focus back on the issues (not the personal attacks) that once again put McCain on the defensive. Because ultimately, it's going to be Obama vs. McCain, not Obama vs. Palin.
