If we finish second lowest, that is good. If next year we finish third lowest, that is better. Etc.

I'm fer putting solar powered freezing coils up there and on Greenland in the fall, let them get buried in the winter, and crank them up all summer long.

Conditions in the Arctic have been much better this year for maintaining ice, including lower temps and more cloud cover, and significantly more extend that froze last winter. Despite all this, the minimum is coming in pretty close to the extreme minimum of last year. This would tend to point towards a continuing decline, not a reversion to build up.

No, it is not good news.
