It doesn't strike you as slightly excessive that her travel expenses are nearly $100,000 per year? Granted Alaska is a big state but how expensive are the hotels and food in Fairbanks? Maybe selling that plane was not such a good idea.

Do you know what the costs are to maintain the aircraft, pay pilot salary, jet-fuel, airport fees. And flying is not the only travel expense. I think the aircraft was one of the main reasons why the previous governor travel expense was more than 4x Palin's

Dining on fresh crab and halibut on the Ocean at 'Land's end Resort' on the Homer spit ain't that bad at all!

Watching the killer whales jump and with the big glacier on the opposite side of the sound in the background, you got all you want at a very reasonable price.

Add to that a couple of Atakiska shots in the bar afterwards...
