There is no new mining law that has been passed Period Fact END OF STORY. I don't argue Ecuador isn't a great place I argue it is difficult and risky at this time to know the truth of the what the playing field is.

You amaze me, you cry and whine and scream that Kinross are dirty thieves who stole Aurelian and now you brag that they see no risk
there since obviously they made an investment. Well guess what, they took on risk and that is why they stole Fruta Del Norte, Kinross made a decision to by a distressed asset at what to them was a big enough discount to justify the risk.

As for your argument that Xstrata is sniffing around, big deal.

"We've looked in Ecuador as we've looked in many other countries as part of a business development exercise to see what projects are out there, but we don't have any current plans to develop projects in Ecuador," said Emily Russell, spokeswoman for Xstrata.

No plans to invest in Ecuador is what the article says. So don't bother to reply to me on this subject just so you can masturbate some more over your beloved Ecuador.
