Obama is not helping himself, however. I gather you think he should apologize, MM. But not only did he not say anything worth apologizing for (check the NYTimes piece I just posted) but the entire point of the McCain campaign's lies at this point is not to get an apology but to get in his head. An apology only does that. Obama needs to on the offensive. Attack, among other things, the scurrilous character of the McCain campaign. Do you want a president who will lie this way about his political opponents? I should hope not.
