you need to relax. I just posted a gallup poll that showed NO, repeat ZERO bounce for McCain in the west, it was from TODAY. Midwest similar but lets focus on the west. You then said there is no way Palin lost support for McCain anywhere. I posted that piece that showed he lost independents. Yes it was not a recent piece.

However we have TWO PIECES OF DATA HERE, that you need to refute. You need to refute
1. No bounce in the west, very little in the midwest with a huge bounce in the south, - and -
2. Some evidence, at one point that McCain had lost independents by choosing an extreme candidate.

The issue is NOT whether nationwide, Palin has brought McCain votes. I agree she did. The issue is whether most of those votes were contained in the south. That is the point we are trying to address here.

You need to find something that shows Palin BROUGHT, not LOST McCain votes in the west. What you are refuting is a supporting post of mine that showed Palin initially lost voters for McCain. That might have turned around, but that is not what is in question here.

Please try to stay on topic. I know this poll upset you but you need to refute the Polling results in the WEST that show no Palin bounce for McCain, despite a convention where he should have received at least 2 points. The only conclusion here is that the extreme right voters he won by choosing Palin were offset by votes he LOST in the west.

Now, try to stay on topic and find a poll **FOR THE WEST** that shows Palin was a NET GAIN.
