But then, don't we all suffer when the campaigns get so stupid that innocent remarks get all the attention and important issues don't get the air time? The media is eating this all up and we are all the worse for it. That's why I stopped watching election coverage today; I skimmed the thread this morning, heard about the latest flaps, saw a CNN crawler about attack ads and realized the whole things is a waste of time from my POV until the first debate. Enough drama in this stock market without me having to wallow in shallow campaign dreck like lipstick controversies.
