McCain has not defined what his criteria for victory is? How can he claim that the surge worked when the end goal is not clear.

It is not the surge. Have you heard of the Sunni youths who are being paid money by the US military to cease and desist from violent acts? Wonder why the debt has doubled in 8 years?

Yea, he won a battle in a war that shouldn't have been fought... although even on the surge there were a lot of factors. You know if he would say it shouldn't have been fought BUT GIVEN THAT (ie. we made a mistake but we're here now) blah blah blah... then I'd have a lot more respect for him. That is typical of him out here in AZ as well... he's ALWAYS had a hard time admitting any mistakes.
