She only dropped it when it was obvious that Congress wasn't going to fund the whole thing. She regretted the necessity of dropping it. "You do know local politicians are supposed to fight for money for their State at the trough or government." Correct. But, if you do it, then claiming you are against earmarks later is a lie.
