Encouraging, but would you have had the Slaughter-House Cases decided the other way ? I really don't understand your fears over the Second Amendment, though. Unless you feel that the Federal Government has no right to enforce any restriction at all on gun ownership, then I don't think you have that much to fear from Obama. Incidentally, if you believe that the US Supreme Court has a right to rule as unconstitutional the attempt of an individual state to ban guns, then IMO you support 'judicial activism'.
