Sorry, I don't know enough about the slaugher house case or cases to comment. Unless you feel that the Federal Government has no right to enforce any restriction at all on gun ownership, then I don't think you have that much to fear from Obama. The SC just decided a case 5-4 that the 2nd amendment is an individual right. Could have and would have gone another way if there were more liberals on the court. if you believe that the US Supreme Court has a right to rule as unconstitutional the attempt of an individual state to ban guns, then IMO you support 'judicial activism'. I don't agree at all. The 2nd amendment expressly forbids such a ban.
