I agree with much of your post. But here's a fact that you and the neocons fail to recognize. We're broke. We're $10 trillion in debt. No matter how much we may want to spread Democracy, we can't do it anymore. We have to prioritize. We are literally borrowing money from China to fund our deficits to keep propping up our economy. Fannie and Freddie bailouts? Funded by China. Our war in Iraq? Funded by China.

How much longer do you think China and other countries will keep buying our debt? Already mortgage rates are much higher than the Fed wants them to be. Already the Fed is losing the ability to impact rates. If we keep thinking we can police the world and keep ignoring the investments we need to make right here at home on our own infrastructure, our own health care system, our own social security, our own diversification of energy sources, and if we keep funding Iraq's reconstruction while they are flush with oil cash, then we will go the way of Rome.

Why do you not get that? Fuuk Iraq and Georgia. We need to pay attention to the US. We are crumbling.
