Yeah, I don't think it really matters... it is so large, whether it has a broad or even split central area doesn't really matter. It's the storm surge that is the biggest problem - they are thinking right now that the storm surge may overwhelm the walls and levees etc all the way up to Houston.

The wind has been blowing the water in for several days and the surge on top of it may be a killer.
