And how is he different from every oil exec in this country? Every single one of them have presided over the greatest raiding of the cookie jar in my lifetime. They've had 8 years of stuffing their mouths with cookies. I'd rather have the alternative energy execs in the cookie jar than the oil execs. At least alternative energy is good for this country and over the long term good for our economy. Oil is bad for our economy, our national security, and for climate change, if you believe in that.

Well I do think he is absolutely on the right track with windpower. We should be exploiting the Renewables that we have in abundance here in this country. If we also tackled solar energy especially in the desert Southwest we could become energy independent from external sources very quickly. Having studied this for many years in my mind it is a slam dunk.

The German government is committing vast sums and resources to "get off" foreign sources of energy. My three trips over there in the last 6 years were eye opening! They are terrified about being dependant on Russian gas.

T. Boone is going to make a lot of money on his project but it will help our country. Our politicians are scientifically illiterate and we are all paying the price and it will get much worse very shortly. I think part of the answer lies in education. We need to raise the bar on science education of our citizens. Without that we will continue to slide backward on the world stage.

We need strong leadership more than ever now. Frankly all we have at this time is a knee jerk reaction to Fear and Greed. I wonder what FDR would think of whats happening today?
