You make a good point. Think about this, though. If we keep racking up our debt with China and China keeps buying it, doesn't that still amount to the largest transfer of wealth in the history of the US...from the US to China and other countries?

I can even quantify it for you. In 8 years, we have transferred $5 trillion of wealth away from this country to other countries. That is the same amount as the increase in our national debt. Scary.
