I stand corrected that the war in Iraq started in March 2003. The fact remains that bin Laden was cornered in Tora Bora and the troops was called back. Don't forget that the Bush family has close relationship with bin Laden family in Saudi Arabia. Therefore Bush did want to kill bin Laden since that would jeopardize Bush family relationship with the bin Laden's father. It is common knowledge that Bush family and bin Laden family in Saudi have business relationship and that they are friends.
