That is simply not true. Look at the figures. Obama was ahead weeks ago, then the smears started. Obama got a small bump at the DNC, then McCain got a big bump by picking Palin.

The Palin effect will diminish as people realize the difference between her image and her reality. For one, she ought to stop repeating the lie that she was against the Bridge to Nowhere, and implying that she saved the government money on that project. She was FOR the project - and earmarks - and only relented after McCain, amongst others, pointed out how ridiculous it was. Then, she kept the money to spend on other stuff - including a road that leads to the place where the bridge would have been - the Road to Nowhere.
