The I35W Bridge in Minneapolis will open up next week - 14 months elapsed time. Contracters will collect about $30 million in bonuses.

Amazing what can get done for profits and government gets out of the way.

I watched them take over 10 years for a freeway interchange.

Yet after the LA Earthquake, they rebuilt the Santa Monica FW in about 10 months. They can get the job done. But it has to be done on a "get out of the way" basis. That's how the FW was rebuilt.
