I wonder if advance knowledge of what has transpired since would have led him to change his mind. Palin never would have changed the calculus of the election since she never would have been picked had Hillary been the nominee

Interesting comments. Could it be that the president this year will be decided by the VP pick - or non pick?

Picking Hillay was a no-brainer. Two halves would have made the whole. Now he has to swim upstream trying to pull votes out of those who passionately preferred her.

I'm sure he had his reasons, but at the time I thought he was taking a much riskier path to the presidency. In fact it made me angry that he was so willing to risk this important election.
