I tried to watch. Didn't last long. Couldn't take it. I've held interviews where the candidate was in that far over his head. It's painful to watch.

oh dear
I was at work
I'm not looking forward to watching it
I heard a few moments of it on NPR- and they were painful. She was going on and on about "not blinking" at things. It was all pretty stupid.

If only the RW could just HAVE her, and get the government they truly deserve, and the rest of us could have someone somewhat rational, the world would be a fair place.

Did you watch something that was a full interview of Palin? The only thing I've seen were snippets on the web. But I've been much too busy today to check TV schedules.

She was clearly out of her depth in the little snippets I saw. But I have to keep remembering that I thought Carter clobbered Reagan in the 1980 debates. So I don't seem to see things the way the voting public does.

She didn't know what the Bush Doctrine was. Her answers will likely be lauded by Republicans and America Firsters, but they showed a TV/Republican view of foreign affairs to me. War (or threatening war, showing "strength" to defend freedom), drilling, lower taxes and--in the case of McCain/Palin--"reform" govt by getting rid of earmarks seem to be the solutions to all problems. I was surprised to see that she really didn't seem to be prepped very much beyond a few platitudes for this interview.

That said, I also thought that Gibson wasn't particularly well prepared. To lead off with the question of whether or not she was prepared for the office was, I thought, a little silly. What would anyone expect her to say? It was a Barbara Walters type of question, IMO.
