If Obama disavowed all his friends who indulge, he'd have none left. He can condemn it all he wants, but he's known by his backers.

MM, you're wandering around again. You started this exchange by posting a comment from the woman who is chair of the SC Dem Party and saying that the Obama campaign shouldn't say those things.

I noted she had nothing to do with the Obama campaign, that it was as if the McCain campaign needed to be held to account for something said by some obscure Rep Party chair, from god knows which state.

You now change the topic to talk about Obama's friends. Which the Fowlers of SC are certainly note.

Then you say that he's known by his backers. Lord help us if each candidate is held accountable for everything his backers say.

Let's just agree that Obama is not accountable for the comment you listed and I won't hold McCain accountable for a rather long list of insane comments. Most of which came from speakers at the Rep convention in St. Paul.

The speeches for which were supposedly vetted by McCain's people.
