That's somewhat like saying that a general contractor doesn't really need to know what holds a house together since he has subs to do all the actual work.

What you have here is a would-be boss who doesn't know the big picture, much less the details.

The problem is that she is truly out of her depth.
I know the common critique of Obama is that he is four years too early, but Palin is about 8.
