And, of course, he's been on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee since 2005. I hear those guys get all kinds of good info. The smart ones, I would guess, absorb most of it.

Since Obama was giving speeches on Iraq at his own initiative in 2002 (and no extensive briefing staff), it's fair to bet that he has now spent years immersing himself in US foreign policy issues. On the Foreign Relations Committee, he would have listened to and participated in discussions on every major issue this decade.

And Biden was the guy in charge teaching the young guy, no doubt. Good combination. Compared to being mayor of Wasilla. I think the foreign policy prep award goes to Obama.

I saw the snippet of Palin saying that if George was in NATO, of course we would go to war with Russia because that's how it works.

The woman has no clue about geostrategic issues. None.
