nooo, I said the ussr over-reached. ergo they collapsed. part of their over-reach was their years in afganistan. we are now over-reaching. the ussr bankrupted itself. they spent years and years in afganistan in a stupid and fruitless war. and now we are spending too many years in war than is breaking our banks. we have to stop it. the ussr collapsed because of stupidity and they bankrupted themselves. they should never have gone into afganistan and they surely should have left soon. as we should leave iraq. we have to protect ourselves and protect our money, not squander it on a war in someplace like iraq. it is stupid.
