People are too chicken to toss out the porkers in congress

I fear there are more insidious forces at play. The disgust with congress doesn't extend to one's own hired thief. It's OK for me to send a marauder to clean your clock, but not vice versa. The founding principles are largely forgotten.

Another thing: the qualified don't want to stay in the sewer long. The Class of '94 had some good guys. Most left after two or three terms. Tough to continually recruit replacements when competing with the career creeps.

Me, I'm doing something I condemn the Obama supporters for. I want change. Only I want specific change. I'm hoping The Barracuda might have the stuffing to revive the spirit Reagan inspired.

Makes the odds for drawing to an inside royal flush look pretty attractive.

A big part of this economic mess we're in is due to the FED and a total lack of regulation of the mortgage brokers and the financial institutions that took lousy debt and repackaged it into "nice looking packages with ribbons on top", but the Bush Administration shares the blame for their unnecessary tax cuts and unnecessary war which piled debt on top of debt.

If McCain gets elected he will let the Bush tax cuts LAPSE, regardless of what he's saying now.

Earmarks should be OUTLAWED, but until they are I don't think ANY Congressman or Senator is going to try to run on the fact that he/she DIDN'T bring any Federal Funds to his/her district or state. That would be political suicide.
