Ted, don't you see how your statement, "The Senate is the most prestigious house in Congress," combined with the lack of term limits and the rewarding of seniority with powerful committee positions, contributes to the "culture of corruption" that liberals like Reid and Pelosi claim to be against? No wonder there are so few congressional representatives who are willing to resist pork. No wonder the "bipartisan" solution in Congress often means more spending and either more taxes or more deficits. No wonder we as Americans are forced to tolerate this year after year after year.
