I believe that a divided government works best. In my ideal world, the Democrats would control the House while the Republicans control the Senate and the White House. There would be less room for mischief and both sides would have a need to compromise. Most new legislation comes out of the House. A Republican Senate could either block the legislation or modify it. By controlling the Senate and the White House, the Republican have an element of control on judicial nominations.
