Relying on Matt Damon to read actuarial tables is beyond silly. The key fact that most people don't consider when talking about life expectancies is that your life expectancy increases with age. Ignoring the fact that McCain's mother is now 96 and very alive, McCain's current life expectancy is higher than the average just because he has avoided dying at a younger age. The calculation of "average" life expectancy includes the chance that a person is one of those that dies early/prematurely.

he did mention the table over a period of eight years.. i wonder what results were over four years.. after all that is all mccain is committing to as president.
