My goodness Mr. Lux... Would that it were true. This company has practically no open short positions subject to reporting at the present time. Which means that if there are in fact substantial unreported short sales, they must be (a) the work of direct Broker to Broker agreements outside the DTC's accounting system; or (b) sales by Broker affiliated MM's who are exempt from the 3 day delivery limitations. In any case there are simply no normal shorts to squeeze. Moreover the hedge funds with cash are not using it to buy more than they sell simply because those without cash due to the massive mortgage/credit card driven excess leverage they live(d) on... are in the process of liquidating equally massive positions in order to survive. As a result of the typical blind rush for volume transactions which brought the Banks/Brokers/Funds/Large Volume Traders (eg, pension funds, insurers, etc) to their current pitiable condition... there are simply no buyers left. So far most of these "free market" dodos are content to instruct their brokers to sell up to X shares at an average Y price or better. But it's the brokers/MMs who decide, at present, whether they move these volume orders in 100 share lots or 10,000 share. lots. As best I can tell the only thing differentiating the present market from 1929 is the fact that these MoMo cretins haven't pulled the cork on orders to sell everything at any price. Although... whether, or how long, that will remain true I do not know. That's what the Fed and Treasury are trying to figure out. Anyway it just doesn't matter what Ramtron does with their cash. They could spend all $8M on stock and still see the price never get anywhere near $5 in the next year. By design, the system has placed it beyond their control so they won't try. Face it Mr. Lux... this is what devaluation looks like. And in a year... if we're lucky... we'll get to see our brand spanking newly lowered standard of living and once again begin the long slow march to "progress." Or... you could do like me and get those "WELCOME HOME - BIG ROCK" signs ready. 0\|0
