Someone needs to emphasize that a hot war with Russia is never an option, it's a worst case outcome that has to be factored in as we decide how to manage what has become a more confrontational relationship. If Gibson has been bolder, he would have asked, short of war, how would you manage our relationship with Russia in the next four years?

Though I doubt he would have heard anything more than slogans in reply.

I had the gall to call the Obama campaign with a suggestion about how they could turn the 'Bridge to Nowhere' issue to its advantage: e.g. "The Bridge to nowhere has been built - it is an apt symbol of the failed policies of ...."

Probably ended up in the circular file of the rep I talked with.
