If this hurricane doesn't do a lot of damage to the offshore platforms which may be doubtful at the present time, then crude goes to $90.

As was the Great Hurricane of 1900.


I cannot imagine a hurricane today that would lead to the kind of loss of life experienced in weather events of that era.

Having spent many summers in Surfside, and seeing it now underwater, hours ahead of the storm, this is pretty discouraging in terms of potential for property damage.
