ALASKA asks for it... get's in into a bill with all sorts of other stuff. There is a certain amount of trust... need that bridge? I need one too, let's put em both in and vote for 'em. Why would anyone from N. Carolina know where of what the bridge is?

I don't fully understand "earmarks" and tend to agree with you that maybe we shouldn't have 'em

Of course, thats the way it works and all the Senators and Congressmen voting for one anothers earmarks are part of the problem.
