David posted that he was not sure right away either.

As I said in my first reaction, Gibson's question on Bush Doctrine (since it is much more losely defined than say a Brezhnev Doctrine, or Monroe Doctrine) was an appropriate question for someone applying for a job at Foreign Affairs magazine, not a mere mortal.

And, for the record, I didn't know right away what Bush Doctrine was either, and as far as I can tell, not a single poster on this thread knew it either. That didn't stop half the people from calling Palin an idiot...
