Roughly stated, the Anthropic Principle [4] says that the parameters of the universe that we observe are governed by the requirement that they must be able to support intelligent life, as otherwise we would not exist to observe our universe. Absolute nonsense. I also gave up on Hawkins when I started reading his book about the Universe and he was postulating "Gravitons" as the cause of gravity. I started off this dialogue by saying, "they might as well be speculating on how many angels....."
