Where you live will determine how much of it you get exposed to. Where I live, the south, it's all around me...on the radio preachers, for example. The whole scenario has been a huge commercial success, spinning off books, movies, posters, T-shirts, mugs, you name it. I have evangelical friends who have incorporated the theology expressed in the Left Behind books into their own theology. As a craze, though, I think it's dying down. Google up the Left Behind books and/or rapture or millenium to learn more than you'll ever want to know.
