The essence of the Bush Doctrine is that if a country has a bad regime, then using force to try to replace that regime is a valid way to deal with the problem.

The results have been obvious, not to mention the limitations in enforcing it in more than one or two countries at once.

Yes, it does. But without the willingness to use it as a last resort, it is meaningless.

I think your view is a bit skewed, not necessarily wrong in the potential that you fear, because it doesn't acknowledge extensive attempts that have been made to resolve things in peaceful ways before employing the military.
