Actually, Dale, I don't think it will be more of the same. It will be worse, because it will be building on the laxity of the Bush administration. And there is plenty of room for some very serious mistakes. Like "Bomb, bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran," just to name one. But also financial mistakes. The possibility of a derivatives blowup is still there, and if it happens, it could easily dwarf even this FNM/FRE fiasco. Although it may be that it is already baked into the current fiasco, I don't know. It is all too complicated for me certainly, and probably for anyone to know for sure. The next admnistration is walking onto ground littered with land mines, big and small.
