Why thank you very much!

The end of that story is that "Betty's Steam Bath" had an easement from the US Government that prevented them from expanding or building any other improvements. Finally, the government bought the entire establishment and razed it to the last nail. It was inconsistent with the design criteria for a "Wild and Scenic River."

Locals can still tell you where it was. If you have National Geographic Topo map for the right state, it's known as "Maggie Bend," complete with a National Forest Boundary demarking the 40 acres that the government bought from "Betty's Steam Bath," along with the 14 fully carpeted bedrooms.

I guess National Geographic thought "Maggie Bend" was a bit more prim than the real name, "Maggie's Bend." Maggie was a predecessor to Betty, if I'm not mistaken.
