Every time she gives a speech, I think, how in the world McCain could have selected a better running mate? The team who made the choice must be smiling big time every time she gives a speech.

Just put a mike in front of her in front of a crowd! She's a great speaker! It's so real and authentic as compared to anyone on the national stage these days. And she says what so many of us have been wanting someone to say with passion and conviction. "Drill Now"! Quit screwing up our country by listening to lobbyists and far left environmental groups. We are Americans and we can solve anything as long as our government supports the effort. My prediction is John McCain will rescind his position on drilling in ANWR and say she convinced him.

In case you missed it, her arrival in Alaska was a kick to watch.

Palin is seen as an existential threat.

The word "extremist" does seem to be the new tag line for her.

I was listening to WABC out of NYC this morning and a caller labeled Palin is an "extremist." The host asked what he meant, what views in particular were extreme. The caller said that Palin did not favor abortion. The host noted that about 50% of the country does not favor abortion and it was hard to label a view held by half the country as "extreme." The caller then noted that she liked guns. The host again pointed out that her views on guns were common outside of the metro-NYC area. The caller just said, "Well, she's still an extremist!"
