PatiB, glad to hear you made it through. That was a nasty storm.

Edit: And now another tree fell on your house? Incredible!!! Glad you are safe.

Hope Naomi and Justin can check in soon.

Well, it took two cranes to get all the trees off my house and garage. State Farm was there within 24 hours with a check for the full amount, 5,500.00. We still have no power. The adjuster should be by the house within the next few weeks to tell us how much the house shifted when all those trees it, how much they will pay for all the damage so we can start tearing down and rebuilding two bedrooms, part of the garage and the sunroom. According to the early estimates, they are looking at close to 90,000.00+ Our house and those around the golf course are all well built custom homes. From what we were told, had this been a track home, we would be in a different situation all together. We are extremely lucky and know we are very blessed to have most of the house and our health.

I'm very worried about Naomi and Justin. Has anyone heard from them?

We have a team of member volunteers who got out with chain saws, rakes and the like on Sunday and started cleaning up the course. My daughter took 7 rolls of film to document the damage to the course. We have well over 400 trees that are simply gone and well over 100 that sustained damage. The good news is, we have better shots at the green on the front 9 now. The bad news is, we lost all those trees and the course will never be the same without them.
