I am surprised but not too worried. There has been a remarkable decline in commodities and oil companies despite the government printing press hard at work and the increased cost of mining and obtaining capital to mine. Take those shares and stick them under a mattress. I increased my plg.to position to the point where my shares control some 3,000 ounces of gold. I can live with that. I didnt sell shares at $5 and I dont see how anything has changed except that I am even more pessimistic on the future of the buying power of the us dollar. It saddens me that the government has willy nilly chosen to assume several trillion dollars of debt without so much as a vote in congress. I dont see how this can be good for the usa or the dollar long term. I am other diverse commodity streams that is why i repurchased edvmf and purchased roy. edvmf now offers something like 6% yield while you wait. they also repurchased some shares. I think plg.to is terrific value here, I just have more than enough of it. The incompetence of a system which offered enormous compensation to individuals who have exhibited such poor credit skills all across the gamut of the financial industry is mind boggling to me. I was a very experienced loan review and workout officer, and I cant help but recall a telephone ocnversation I had a few years ago with a senior credit officer at Citi, wherein he told me that they no longer needed workout officers as everything was under control and they had worked out all their credit problems.
