I wouldn't think you'd need more than three or four agnostics to represent a fairly broad spectrum of thought.

Can't argue with a "fairly broad" spectrum given that it's an evolving question. But it seemed that bull had the full spectrum in there, believers and non-believers alike. As for the "joke," it wasn't intended to be funny, just light. I was bemused by that extreme breadth. I couldn't quite picture the Pope as an agnostic.
