Good point - and I agree vehemently. But it is possible that those who believe may have grasped something about nature that defies explanation, the thread that runs through the Universe.

As for something vast and limitless, an existence of such an entity does not have to be postulated, it already exists : the human brain - whose possible states exceed the number of atoms in the entire Universe. And one of the major religions does emphasize the fact that God lives within us - a fairly prescient observation 2000 years ago!
