That is precisely the republican plan. They have been totally obstructionist precisely so that you can say that now.

Maybe the people see that and know that to get anything done they must grant the democratic party a 60% majority. Your plan may have unintended consequences.

you know, at this point I am happy to have any party in power that shows they can let 1 month go by WITHOUT adding another huge pork boondoggle to do the deficit, in the tradition of the "dept of homeland security" or the "medicare part D" program, or ethanol.

Republicans spent almost 6 trillion dollars in first 6 years past 2000. Amazing I don't think it is possible to spend any more money than they did, on so many **must have** initiatives, like,
