Martenson IMO is one of the most clear-eyed, clear-headed macroecons out there. The way he puts things is so clear I have had my doubts for nothing can be as simple as he says. But I have very few as I think he has done a magnificent top-down analysis of The Big Picture.

One nit I would pick is his failure to focus on the role of renewable electricity - wind, solar, etc. - and on natgas. I would be more comfortable with his analysis if he had ventured beyond oil, coal and uranium and looked at these sources for they will inevitably make a difference. The energy picture is not intractable, but how much flexibility we will have in the future is difficult to say.
