I think Rugers are the most robust firearms in the market, and I have three. I just can't get used to the new model single actions with the cylinder lock being released by opening the loading gate. I started on a colt single action, and two clicks just doesn't do it for me.

is the Armalite AR24

I have never seen or held one, but I just don't like a 9mm. I have a 96 Beretta in .40 S&W and I prefer that caliber.

However, I can nowhere near hit what I shoot at as I can with my S&W Model 19-4 .38/357

For me a revolver works better for shooting\plinking

Edit: Here's a good price for a used Beretta. gunbroker.com

I think the best gun for the money today is the Armalite AR24.....ruger revolvers.....and the baby eagle from Israeli Military Institute.

You recommended the Baby Eagle to me before. I checked one out at Cabelas and decided it was a little big for carrying.

Extremely nice pistol, though.

A little underpowered, but good reviews:

Have not looked at, much less shot, one yet. My sense is it's a little more refined than my Russian made Izmech Makarov.
