Just not 'gotcha' stuff, traps laid to catch a gaffe.

So forget that question and concentrate on the rest....were you impressed by Palin's depth and understanding of the issues in the rest of the interview?

Of course, the real problem is that she has only done one interview. The Olberman interview of Obama was pathetic, but I can find dozens of others. Some of the best I have seen are the ones in front of newspaper editorial boards. She should be doing an interview a day....to prove to the world that she is ready to become President. Assuming that is true, that will shine through over time. Instead, we have a single interview and all of the concentration on the nature of the questions, instead of on the answers.

How would the interviewer know that she didn't know what the Bush Doctrine was so as to set a trap? I think it reasonable to expect any candidate to know that. He didn't ask her what it was. He asked her opinion on it. He expected her to know. Perhaps he expected her to have an opinion on it that he could challenge, but he expected her to know what it was.
