Ted, excellent point and I agree..

I can only look at this logically. Up until the Palin pick, Obama was ahead in the polls. As soon as McCain picked Palin.......within days.......everything changed. Either that change is temporary or Americans were looking for an excuse not to vote for Obama. Nothing else explains such a 180º turn. Certainly, Obama didn't change in such a short period of time.

So then, if this is not a temp. phenomenon, then the problem is the American electorate, not Obama.

Respectfully disagree. Obama has been given so many chances to be the POTUS. I have contributed several times to his campaign, and if is not elected, the reason must be that he does not connect with the American people and he was not able to fend off the attacks by McCain and Palin.

The fault is not the American people. It would be Obama. He should be able to inject into the people's brain that electing McCain means another 4 years of Bush, except it will be much worse,

Analogy: It was Jim Jones fault and not his followers for drinking Kool-Aide in Guyana. Jim Jones play with the brains of his followers.
